THANK YOU to all who registered for our first virtual competition! We have over 350 routines registered in our first competition and are excited to announce we will be hosting more virtual competitions in the coming weeks. Our second virtual competition will start streaming April 2nd!
At Inferno, we find that tough circumstances drive us to be our most creative and we are excited to offer the Inferno Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Virtual Dance Comp in our 2020 season! The COVID-19 outbreak, and subsequent closures, can be an opportunity for us to unite with our national dance community and create a new format of competition for you!
Please note, as with all parts of our current situation, this is a rapidly developing event. It is new for all of us and we are still working to figure out some elements of the process. We want to provide information quickly so you can move forward with us knowing we will continue to offer more information and details in the coming days.
What this IS:
An opportunity for our community to come together and keep dancing!
An opportunity to receive critiques from trained professionals.
An opportunity to perform on the world’s largest and fastest growing stage...the internet!
An opportunity to compete against dancers across the country without the fees or travel expenses of a nationals competition
A new experience for all of us!
What this ISN'T:
A replacement for postponed competitions (we are still working to reschedule competitions!)
A mandatory event for registered studios
A way for us to hold any money related to cancelled competitions (we will adhere to refund policies emailed to studio owners in their event postponement notice).
Why a virtual competition?
We need connection. We need growth. We do not believe in stunting our dancers growth and dissolving what they have worked so hard for this season. This is a great alternative for connection within studios, with other studios across the country and for dancers to see their community comes together and rises above circumstance.
On the day of our virtual competition, we will announce a livestream link to tune in! At the scheduled time, we will begin streaming the submitted competition videos and our judges will critique and score each routine. Once all routines from a session have performed we will host a live awards ceremony in which we will be connected with all of our studios via a webcam/live/face-time style service (more info soon!). We will interview you or your dancers, just like we would on-stage!
