About the Virtual Title Challenge
Our judges will interview you a video meeting you to get to know you better!
We will send out a master class video. You will have two hours to learn the combo and submit a video of your performance of the combo!
Submit a video of another talent or specialty of yours! Singing, juggling, or anything fun that makes you stand out!
Submit a video of your solo for critique and scoring!
Fees: $40 per Title Entry
Registration can be completed via DanceEra.
Payment is available through DanceEra only. We are unable to accept checks for this event.
Schedule and Dates
The registration deadline the Virtual Title Competition is April 6th at 11:59pm. We will begin streaming the competition on April 9th, 2020 (time TBD).
Solo Video Submission Deadline: April 6th at 11:59pm.
Talent Submission Deadline: April 6th at 11:59pm.
Master Class Video Submission: Master classes will be due 2 hours following the posting of the masterclass combo. More information regarding these times and deadlines will be emailed following registration.
Interview Time: Interview date and time will be emailed to you following registration
If an abundance of registration is received we may open additional virtual competitions or existing registration divide into additional virtual competitions at Inferno’s discretion.
Video Submission (SOLO ONLY)
For talent, solo, and master class videos, we will email you a google drive folder supply with instructions on how to submit your videos to the folder.
You will be scored as follows:
Interview (25 points)
Talent Submission (10 points)
Master Class (25 points)
Solo Score (40 points)
You will receive an audio-recorded review of your performance in each element of the competition.
Each element will be judged by 1 judge who will do an audio review following the segment.
For solos, there will be a technique judge and a performance judge who will each evaluate the solo. Each judge will score out of 20 points for a total solo score of 40 points.
We will do a live awards session following the airing of all solos.
The Title Age Breakdown is as follows:
Miss/Mister Tiny Inferno: 6 years old & Under
Miss/Mister Petite Inferno: 7-8 years old
Miss/Mister Junior Inferno: 9-11 years old
Miss/Mister Teen Inferno: 12-14 years old
Miss/Mister Senior Inferno: 15 years old & Over
In each age level a title winner and runner up (if applicable will be awarded). Winners will win a free solo and title registration to a national or regional event in the 2020 or 2021 season.
Runner ups will receive a free title registration for a national or regional event in the 2020 or 2021 season.
Costumes will not be critiqued or impact scoring.
Routines may be filmed at the studio, from a competition stage, or from home environments. The environment in which the routine is performed will not affect scoring in any way.
The Title Competition is not divided by skill level.
Depending on the development of the COVID-19 situation, we understand gatherings to film may not be possible. We accept videos from previous competitions as long as they were filmed no earlier than January 1, 2020. We also accept routines filmed at home or non-competitive environments.
Inferno Dance is not responsible for any injuries occurring during the taping of submitted routine videos.
By registering for this event, you agree that any submitted routines are current routines being performed at competitions in the 2020 competition season, featuring registered dancers.
